Write the prompt for someone who did not expect you

An outbound agent is interrupting. Say who is calling and why, in the first sentence.
firstSpeaker is ignored on outbound calls. The agent always waits — the callee answered the phone, so they say hello first.

Place the call

Numbers must be E.164 — a leading +, country code, no spaces or dashes. Supply the originating number as either fromNumberId or fromNumber; exactly one is required.

Read the outcome

A call is finished once endTime is populated. status carries the end reason.
Automated outbound calling is regulated and the rules differ sharply by country — consent, permitted hours, identification, do-not-call registers. Check what applies where you are dialling before running a campaign.

Voicemail

Answering machines pick up and talk. Give the agent an instruction for it: “If you reach a recording, leave a short message with the callback number and end the call.”
